What it does

Every street, with its evidence.

Collisions, traffic and speeds for every street in Great Britain, on one map. Abnormal loads, bus delays and your own closures are on it too. It shows which streets need you first.

Collisions

Every injury collision, and where they cluster.

Every police-recorded injury collision is on the map, street by street, for anyone to see. Signed in, the heatmap shows where they bunch, by severity or against what similar roads would have. Councils also get numbered hotspots, worst first, each with its own report. Draw any area and download its report as a PDF or CSV.

Rankings

Every street ranked within your area.

Each street is compared with what a street like it would have, after allowing for chance. Rank by collisions, killed or seriously injured (KSI), or cost to society at DfT's 2024 values. Only collisions that happened are costed; expected figures never are. Any street's report, and a council report, download as a PDF.

Traffic and speeds

Traffic and speeds for every street in Great Britain.

Signed in, councils get daily traffic, lorry share and speeds for each street. Counts come first, from DfT or your own surveys, and a model trained on real counts fills the gaps. Each figure is labelled counted, measured or estimated, and modelled flows carry a likely range. Check a speeding complaint against the 85th percentile in minutes.

A report for every street

Any street's record, ready for whoever asks.

Every street has its own card, with its street reference (USRN), speed limit and collision record. Councils also see its estimated traffic and speeds. The street collision report adds what a street like it would have, and where it ranks in your council. It downloads as a PDF with a map, ready to send.

Abnormal loads

Abnormal loads, out of the inbox and onto the map.

Notifications from ESDAL and email become mapped routes, soonest first. Each structure on a route is compared with the declared vehicle, axle by axle, and marked within or exceeds. A route you approved before is recognised when the load fits within it. Whoever is in that day picks up the next one and accepts or rejects it in a tap.

Bus delays

Live buses, and the roads that hold them up.

Every bus in England is on the map now, with the ones standing still picked out. Signed in, you see the roads where buses lose most time, and at what hour. Stops sit on the same map, with the services that call at each stop, and signed in, the bus routes on every road.

The public map

Closures and diversions, as they are signed.

Draw a closure or a banned turn, and its diversion with the sign drivers will follow, and it is on the public map in a few taps. Streetworks from Street Manager sit beside it, for every authority in England. Anyone can open the map without an account, and you can embed it on your own website. Withdrawn orders stay on record, so an old link still says the order has ended.

D-TRO

D-TRO, from the temporary orders on your map.

D-TRO is the Department for Transport's store for traffic orders in England, in one digital format. When the duty to send orders starts, the TTROs and notices on your Auroute map go to it in the DfT's format. You still make each order and give the usual notices.
